Green Dot Stables and a New Neighbor

CJ and I had lunch at Green Dot Stables on Friday.  It was awesome!
You can totally tell that CJ took this pic with his fancy professional camera!
Green Dot Stables is an old horse racing themed bar in Corktown that has been reinvented as a restaurant.  The place looks great on the inside- it appears they kept a lot of the old fixtures and furniture from the original bar, which I love.

I can definitely picture my Grandpa Bob having a drink there back in the day after a Tigers game!
Their menu is pretty much a dream come true- a bunch of different sliders that are all $2-$3 each, so you can try a ton!  See there full menu HERE!

They also have other sides- like mac and cheese, french fries and even salad and soup.  We actually had a salad, I swear- it's just not pictured!  The corned beef slider was our favorite and the fries were incredible (and my love of fries is almost as serious as my love of donuts, so I'm not using the word incredible lightly)!

So, bottom line is this place is great- you should definitely go!  Right now they have limited hours, but as soon as they get their liquor license, they'll be open for dinner and on the weekends.  According to the staff, they're going to be open until 1:00 am on weekends when they start serving alcohol (and, we got a sneak peak at their drink menu- $3 for pints of premium beers like Bells- such a deal).

After lunch, we got to meet a new friend!
Little Scout- just four days old!  She is the new edition to our friend's Derek & Michele's family- congrats you guys!
XOXO
